Lilly Pray | Chief Judge
Lilly Pray has spent the last 24 years shaping the world of concours judging, beginning her journey at the Hilton Head Concours d'Elegance in 2000. A lifelong passion for cars was ignited early, thanks to her father, Malcolm Pray, a renowned collector from Greenwich, Connecticut. For Lilly, spending time with her father meant finding him in the garage, where she eagerly worked alongside him on his collection and accompanied him to concours events, helping to showcase his prized vehicles to the world.
Her expertise and love for automobiles have since led Lilly to serve as a respected judge at prestigious car events across the United States. A true enthusiast, she’s not only a seasoned judge but also a proud owner and driver of vintage cars, often seen cruising “topless” in her convertibles, embracing the elements no matter the weather.
Outside of her automotive life, Lilly’s professional career is equally remarkable. A Registered Nurse at Boulder Community Health, she specializes in Emergency Medicine, Orthopedics, and Neurology. Before transitioning to healthcare, she spent over 20 years in the fire service, engineering fire trucks and serving as a Firefighter/Paramedic. Her dedication to helping others continues through her volunteer work with the Boulder Police Department as a Victim Advocate.
Lilly also plays an active role in the community, serving on the boards of the Turtle Invitational, the Russell Maguire Foundation, and the Malcolm Pray Achievement Center. Through these organizations, she works to inspire and guide young men and women toward discovering their passions and achieving their dreams.
When she’s not immersed in her professional and philanthropic endeavors, Lilly enjoys life in beautiful Boulder, Colorado, with her daughter, Portia, a fellow concours judge. Together, they share a love of vintage cars, mountain hiking, and time spent by the sea, living life with a sense of adventure and a deep appreciation for the road ahead.
